1. Who we are
World Kids Talent is an international online talent competition for children aged 0–14, managed by a parent or legal guardian on the child's behalf.
2. What we collect
Parent or guardian: name, email, phone, country, account details, and communications with us. Child: first name, surname (kept private), date of birth, country, age division, talent category, biography, and media. Competition: entry status, votes, rankings, and history. Transactions: purchase status, references, refunds, and chargebacks — full payment card details are handled by our payment provider, not stored by us. Technical and security: IP address, device information, and account activity.
3. Children's data
A child's public profile shows only their first name, age, and country — never a surname or surname initial, full date of birth, school, address, email, or phone number. The surname and full date of birth are collected privately: the surname is used only for verification, certificates, and prize administration, and the date of birth only to determine competition eligibility and age division.
4. How we use data
To operate accounts, verify age eligibility, moderate submissions, run voting and rankings, process payments, prevent fraud, send transactional communications, provide support, and meet legal obligations. Marketing communications require a separate opt-in and can be unsubscribed from at any time.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share limited data with the providers who help us run the platform — hosting, storage, payments, email, security, and fraud-prevention providers — and where required by law or needed to investigate safety, abuse, or fraud concerns.
6. Payments
Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. We may receive the amount, status, a transaction reference, and refund or chargeback information. This is retained for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and legal purposes.
7. Data retention & deletion
We keep personal data only as long as reasonably necessary or legally required. Parents may request removal of their child's profile at any time. Transaction, accounting, fraud, dispute, and legal records may be retained even after a profile is removed.
8. International data
Because World Kids Talent operates internationally, data may be processed and stored in other countries by our service providers. We take reasonable steps to protect data wherever it is processed.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and parents should also take care to protect access to their own account.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data, among others. Guardians can exercise these rights by contacting us — we may need to verify your identity and authority over the child's profile first.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make a material change to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and provide notice where appropriate.
